In the fall of 2017, I returned to my family ranch and had a moment of clarity: Cheyenne was yearning for more exceptional wedding opportunities that would benefit local brides and hosts of other large events. This realization fueled my determination, and it marked the genesis of my business, Iron & Ivory.
After graduating from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor’s degree in Merchandising and Textiles and a minor in Interior Design, I ventured into the vibrant city of Denver, Colorado. There, I honed my skills as a visual merchandiser for Kohl's department stores. This experience centered around my expertise in working with floor plans, product placement, and visual marketing, which only deepened my love for coordinating events and creating eye-appealing environments.
I have always had an unwavering passion for event planning, designing, and decor. During my college years, I had the incredible opportunity to intern with the Wyoming Stock Growers Association. In that role, I was responsible for organizing, coordinating, and setting up summer conference meetings and sizable events like banquets, fundraisers, and barbecues for the organization.
While my original vision for Iron & Ivory Venue is currently postponed, I'm excited to be able to step into the Wyoming wedding scene through the decor aspect. My experience on the family ranch has taught me that things don't always go as planned, and you have to learn to go in the direction the wind blows you - and it blows a lot around here! When my original dream for this venue wasn't able to come to fruition on the timeline I was hoping for, I had to get creative and pivot into a new direction to keep the flame lit for Iron & Ivory.
